Kongu Engineering College (KEC) and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) Forge Collaborative Partnership

Kongu Engineering College (KEC) and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) recently held an integration meeting to discuss and foster collaborative activities between the two institutions. The meeting, which took place on November 6th, 2023, brought together senior officials and representatives from both KEC and UTHM.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that KEC and UTHM have already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to solidify their partnership. Senior officials from UTHM, including Prof. Ts. Dr. Azme Khamis, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), Prof. Dr. Asmarashid Bin Ponniran, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, and Dr. Wan Suhaimizan Wan Zaki, Head of the Department of Electronics Engineering, participated in the discussions. From KEC, Thiru A.K. Ilango, Correspondent, Dr. V. Balusamy, Principal, and Dr. G. Murugesan, Chief Coordinator-Academic, were present, along with Chief Coordinators of various cells and Heads of various departments.

The institutions have agreed to collaborate in various areas, including research publications, research projects, faculty exchange, student exchange, seminars, conferences, and workshops. Thiru A.K. Ilango, Correspondent of KEC, commended Dr. N. Kasthuri, Professor and Head of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department, as well as the faculty members of ECE, for their efforts towards facilitating these collaborative activities.

The integration meeting sets the stage for a fruitful collaboration between KEC and UTHM, promoting knowledge exchange, research advancements, and academic growth for both institutions.
