Sangli, Maharashtra – Padmabhooshan Vasantraodada Patil Institute of Technology (PVPIT),
Budhgaon, has taken a significant leap toward technological integration in student services
and research with the launch of its in-house developed multilingual AI assistant – AIRIAA
(Artificial Intelligence Research Innovation Admission Assistant).
The assistant was inaugurated at the hands of Hon’ble Chairman and Member of Parliament
Shri Vishal Dada Patil and Hon’ble Trustee Shri Amit Dada Patil, in presence of Principal Dr.
B. S. Patil and Professor Vinay Khilare from the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AIDS)
department.
Designed and developed entirely by Prof. Vinay Khilare, AIRIAA is a voice-enabled, context-
aware, and language-sensitive conversational AI assistant that provides comprehensive
admission-related guidance and detailed institutional information. The system intelligently
understands user speech, identifies the language (English, Hindi, or Marathi), and responds
accordingly—making the interaction seamless, personal, and highly accessible for students
and parents.
