National Mathematics Day at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology (SAIT), Indore

Amidst the vibrant corridors of learning at the Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology (SAIT), an air of intellectual celebration swept through the campus as the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) joined hands in a symphony of numbers and intellect to mark National Mathematics Day. This spirited commemoration, paying homage to the genius of India’s beloved mathematician, Srinivas Ramanujan, was graciously sponsored by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology. It was more than an event; it was a convergence of minds and a tribute to the beauty of mathematics.

The grand affair welcomed distinguished luminaries, Dr. Prakash D. Vyavahare and Mr. Abbas Mhowwala, whose presence added a golden hue to the gathering. As they crossed the threshold, their arrival was met with warmth and respect by the college’s erudite Director, Dr. Aaquil Bunglowala, setting the tone for an afternoon resonating with scholarly discourse and fervor.

Eminent professors and spirited students, united by their shared passion for numbers, formed a tapestry of intellect, adorning the event with an ambiance of jubilation and learning. Dr. Prakash D. Vyavahare’s eloquence wove the tale of Srinivas Ramanujan’s life, unveiling the mystical allure of mathematics and its intricate dance with the world of Cryptography. Meanwhile, Mr. Abbas Mhowwala, a beacon of knowledge, enlightened the audience about the legacies of other remarkable mathematicians, unfurling the enchanting realms of numbers, patterns, and aptitude.

Amidst the rich tapestry of intellectual dialogues, a gem sparkled brightly—a poster presentation competition that served as a canvas for more than 40 talented minds. Their brush strokes encapsulated the theme, “Mathematics in everyday life: Exploring its invisible influence.” Batul Athar emerged as the maestro, claiming the coveted first prize, with Kanishk Kukreja securing a well-deserved second place. In a beautiful testament to teamwork, Vikash Dhakad, Vishal Lodhi, and Vijay Singh Sengar shared the third prize, their collaborative brilliance painting vivid strokes of imagination.

The crescendo arrived as Dr. Anupam Mandloi, the Vice Principal, announced the winners, filling the hall with applause and jubilation. Amidst the cheers, the esteemed Vice President of SAIMST, Mr. Kinshuk Trivedi, and the illustrious Mrs. Chani Trivedi, Director SAGI, extended heartfelt congratulations, recognizing the brilliance and effort behind each presentation.

Behind the scenes, orchestrating this symphony of success, were the event’s conductors, Dr. Neelu Sharma and Prof. Lata Vyas. Their meticulous guidance and unwavering support sculpted this event into a masterpiece of collaboration and innovation.
