A new drone technology training program, including DGCA certification, is being launched in partnership between the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) and the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar. The program will be open to students globally, with B.Tech students from any discipline able to take drone technology as an open elective. The course includes an industrial component with internships to improve job prospects. Leaders from NIELIT, NIT Srinagar, and MeitY emphasized the importance of drone technology, the program’s comprehensive nature, and its potential to boost employability and regional technological growth.
