To promote the innovations and applications in the field of Cutting Edge Space Technology, a 1-day symposium is organized at MANIT Bhopal on 22nd May 2025, in collaboration with Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Recently, ISRO established six Space Technology Incubation Centers (S-TIC) in the country, to promote the space science research in academic institution. One of the STIC is established at MANIT Bhopal for the Centre Region to cover MP, Chhattisgarh and UP state, informed by Dr Savita Nema, founder Coordinator Space Technology Incubation Centre at MANIT. Around 200 academicians from the technical institutions of MP and 25 Scientists of ISRO attended the symposium.

The symposium was inaugurated by Chairman ISRO Dr V Narayanan. He emphasized role of academic institutions to support the research in space science, as per the need of the country.

Fifteen technical talks by various unit heads of ISRO were delivered in three technical sessions in the symposium, in which Scientist from ISRO presented the cutting edge research areas in the filed of Space Technology, where academicians can play pivotal role. A booklet was released comprising of research problem statements to invite the research proposals from academia. On this occasion Space Technology Incubation Centers (S-TIC) and Centre Computing Facility established at MANIT are also inaugurated.

Prof K K Shukla, Director MANIT presided the inaugural function and congratulated the team for this initiative and encouraged the participants to explore the innovation and research projects via academia.
