Jhulelal Institute of Technology Nagpur organized FDP on “Overcoming the Challenges in Adapting Online Technology in Teaching Learning”

The Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities, Jhulelal Institute of Technology, Nagpur had organized One-Week Online Faculty Development Program on “Overcoming the Challenges in Adapting Online echnology in Teaching Learning”in association with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Society for Technologically Advanced Materials of India (STAMI), upGrad and Edusaksham(an e-learning Company).

The FDP had been organized to formulate ways to reduce the challenges and augment the opportunities of online academics. Dr.DebashisBhowmick, Vice-principal & Convener gave the opening remark and Dr. Narendra Bawane, Principal welcomed the dignitaries and participants.Prof. N. T. Khaty, Registrar, RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur was the Chief-Guest whereas Shri. Mahesh Sadhwani, Chairman, SSCT was the president of inaugural program. Shri Pramod Pampatwar, Director-Technical and Ms Madhavi Wairagade, Director-HR & Admin also shared their views. Prof. Khaty appreciated initiative taken by JIT towards knowledge enhancement amid lockdown, quarantine and social distancing. He also on behalf of Vice-chancellor congratulated JIT for conducting this FDP.

Fifteen live sessions were conducted through upGrad platform and the lectures are also available on JIT’s Official YouTube channel. Eminent resource person from academics and e-learning experts from five countries conducted the sessions.Some of the eminent resource persons were Prof. N T Khaty, Registrar, RTMNU; Prof. G. S. The FDP received an overwhelming response of 1055 participants from across 25 states of the country.

Dr. Debashis Bhowmick summarized the various events of the FDP and proposed the formal vote of thanks. Shri.
