ARMIET Hosts Six-Day ATAL Faculty Development Programme on Cyber Security

Sapgaon, Shahapur, Thane – Alamuri Ratnamala Institute of Engineering and Technology (ARMIET) successfully conducted a six-day ATAL Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Introduction to Cyber Security” from November 18 to November 23, 2024. This impactful event was organized in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, under the ATAL FDP initiative.

The programme featured distinguished experts in the field of Cyber Security, including Mr. Nikhil Mahadeshwar (Founder, Cyber Secured India, Mumbai), Mr. Dinesh Israni (Founder, Naman Angel Foundation, Mumbai), Mr. Arun Mane (Amynasec Lab, Pune), Mr. Harshad Shah (CEO, Hacker Associate, Bengaluru), Dr. Atul Kemkar (Professor, ARMIET, Thane), Ms. Shinja Nagvekar (Senior VAPT Analyst, CSI, Mumbai), Mr. Amit Karkhanis (Cyber Law Consultant, Mumbai), and Mr. Yugal Pathak (Digital Forensic Supervisor, Delhi). Their expertise and insights significantly enriched the participants’ learning experience.

A highlight of the programme was the hands-on learning session conducted at Net Weaver Tech, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Mr. Parag Gawale demonstrated practical Cyber Security applications, providing participants with real-world exposure to Cyber Security tools and techniques.

The workshop attracted 48 participants, including research scholars, educators, and industry professionals. This platform facilitated knowledge exchange and skill enhancement in the critical area of Cyber Security.

Key contributors to the event’s success included Dr. Kshitij Pandey (Principal, ARMIET, Polytechnic), Mr. Yogesh Shivarkar (Head, Mechanical Engineering Department, ARMIET Polytechnic), and Prof. Dr. Prakash Patil. The institution’s Chairman, Shri. Alamuri Venkateshwar Gupta, and Campus Director, Dr. Lavendra S. Bothra, extended unwavering support, providing necessary resources and permissions.

During the closing session, Dr. Ashwini Kshirsagar, Head of the MMS Department, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the experts, participants, and organizers for their contributions to the event’s success.

This FDP on Cyber Security marks another milestone for ARMIET in fostering academic and professional development in cutting-edge fields, preparing educators and professionals from different institutes and industries to address the challenges of the digital age.
