Baba Farid College organized Two days International Webinar on ‘ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE and MACHINE LEARNING’

BATHINDA: A two Day International webinar on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning’ was organized by the Department of Computer Science, Baba Farid College, Bathinda (Punjab) through Microsoft Team. The primary objective of this Two Day Webinar on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is to enrich faculty members of Computer Science and other streams with preliminaries of artificial intelligence and its modern applications in machine learning and deep learning.  The two-day webinar on AI and ML  was conducted by the Computer Science department, BFC in association with  Moroccan Society of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Morocco, Scientific Innovation Research Group (SIRG), Egypt, National Institute of Electronics &Information Technology, Chandigarh, and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Waterloo-Kitchener section, Canada. This webinar was organized under the supervision of Dr. Manish Kumar (Vice Principal), Baba Farid College, Bathinda. Participants from 29 countries, 28 states, 5 UTs, 30 major cities, 10 IITs and NITs, 57 International Universities, 100+ India Universities, and 13 Punjab State Universities participated in this webinar.

On the first day, Dr. Amandeep Singh, Dean (Sciences), BFC has started the webinar with his welcome address. On this occasion, Dr. Manish Goyal, Assistant Director, School of Skill Development shed some light on the webinar acceptance by the audience. He also presented the vision of BFGI with its skill development and highlights the industrial collaboration of BFGI. Prof. (Dr.) Yumnam Jayanta from National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Chandigarh (NIELIT) gave a presentation on ‘Artificial Intelligence-based Modeling Process and prediction’, Prof (Dr.) Hanaa Hachimi from Morocco gave a presentation on “Global Optimization using bio-inspired algorithms for AI applications”, Prof. (Dr.) K. Martin Sagayam from India gave a presentation on “Computer Vision Algorithms based Hand Gesture Technology for Virtual Reality Applications”. At the end of each session, the certificate of participation was presented to the Keynote Speakers by Dr. Mehar Chand.On the second day, Mr. Manish Jindal, Head, Department of Computer Science, Baba Farid College started the session by giving a warm welcome to the audience and panelists. The Expert panelists for the day Prof. (Dr.) Özen Özer from Turkey gave a presentation on “Importance of Mathematics in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning”, Prof. (Dr.) Hamed Daei Kasmaei from Iran gave a presentation on “Machine Learning trends and its applications” and Prof. (Dr.) Mehar Chand from India gave a presentation on “Supervised and unsupervised learning by using MATLAB”. It was a very interesting session and was much appreciated by all the attendees. The certificate of participation was presented by Dr. Upinder Kaur. She also shared the webinar report. In the end, Dr. Manish Gupta (Dean, Research and Innovation, BFGI) gave the valedictory speech and thanked all the Expert Panelists for their valuable presence. Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal Chairman, BFGI congratulated the Principal of Baba Farid College and the entire team of the Computer Science Department for the success of this international webinar.
