The Central University of Kashmir (CUK) and the National Institute of Technology (NIT) jointly organized a workshop titled “Hands on training On Cyclic Voltammetry and Potentiometry.” The event, held at NIT Srinagar, aimed to provide practical training to students from both institutions. Head of the Department of Chemistry at CUK, Prof. Abid Hamid Dar, flagged off the students to NIT Srinagar, where they received a warm welcome from Dr. Hamida Nisa Chishti, Head of the Department of Chemistry at NIT Srinagar. Prof. Kouser Majid then gave a demonstration of the research and physical chemistry laboratory, presenting an overview of the instrumentation used. Scholars from the Physical Chemistry section at NIT Srinagar guided the students in performing experiments, with the assistance of Dr. Rifat Akbar and Dr. Sumayah Bashir, Assistant Professors. The workshop was conducted and coordinated by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Nadeem Lone, who expressed gratitude to all participants. This collaborative effort between CUK and NIT proved valuable in providing students with hands-on experience and exposure to the field of chemistry, enriching their knowledge and skills.
