Participants from various districts of Haryana gathered at the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh for their departure to Madhya Pradesh under Phase V of the Yuva Sangam program, an initiative of the Ministry of Education. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of CUH, warmly welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of cultural exchanges in fostering mutual respect and understanding among the youth of different states. He said that such programs are a wonderful way to connect students from different parts of the country and enrich their understanding of India’s cultural and historical diversity.

The delegation, comprising 40 students from Haryana, was led by the Nodal Officer of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Cell at CUH, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Meena, along with his team, including Prof. Aashish Mathur, Dr. Jitender, and Dr. Tanvi Bhati.  Upon their arrival at Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) in Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh, the delegation was warmly received by IGNTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Byomakesh Tripathy and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), marking the start of an enriching experience. A special storytelling session on tribal hero Birsa Munda further deepened their appreciation for the contributions of tribal communities to India’s history and culture.

The students also delved into the cultural and natural heritage of Amarkantak, visiting prominent sites such as Kapil Dhara waterfall, the sacred Narmada Udgam Mandir, and the 3-km parikrama route encompassing Shree Yantra Mandir, Maiya Ka Bagicha, and Som Nadi Ka Udgam Place. These visits offered a blend of spiritual, historical, and scenic experiences.

The day concluded with a vibrant cultural event organized by IGNTU students, showcasing traditional folk dances, music, and the diverse heritage of Madhya Pradesh. The Haryana participants were deeply impressed by the state’s rich traditions and hospitality.
